Its an epidemic this year, and these things are as lethal as a venomous snake in the wrong senerio!... Please not only read it, but share it! Make sure we get the word out about these tics and the disease they carry! It's summer! Time for camping, hiking and getting outside to play. Don't let those pesky annoying ticks stop you. Here's how with a simple homemade solution! Repellent for your pets: For pets, add 1 cup of water to a spray bottle, followed by 2 cups of distilled white vinegar. Ticks hate the smell and taste of vinegar, and will be easily be repelled by this ingredient alone. Then, add two spoonfuls of vegetable or almond oil, which both contain sulfur (another natural tick repellent). To make a repellent that will also deter fleas, mix in a few spoonfuls of lemon juice, citrus oil, or peppermint oil, any of which will repel ticks and fleas while also creating a nicely scented repellent. Spray onto the pet's dry coat, staying away from sensitive areas including eyes, nose, mouth, and genitals. When outdoors for an extended period, spray this solution on two to three times per day. For you and your family: In a spray bottle, mix 2 cups of distilled white vinegar and 1 cup of water. To make a scented solution so you do not smell like bitter vinegar all day, add 20 drops of your favorite essential oil. Eucalyptus oil is a calm, soothing scent that also works as a tick repellent, while peppermint and citrus oils give off a strong crisp scent that also repel ticks. After mixing the solution, spray onto clothing, skin, and hair before going outdoors. Reapply every four hours to keep ticks at bay, and examine your skin and hair when back inside to make sure no ticks are on the body. If you have ever shared anything, please click share on this! This is the before pic that my 6-year-old daughter took. Not bad! I didn't take an after - for some reason I get a little distracted when my daughter helps ; ) But, she really does try to help. Thanks for looking and have a great weekend everyone! Pampered Pet Palace added 2 new photos. · February 3 · I groomed a little Maltese today. He is a cute little guy! Very friendly and calm. Behaved very well. He had a few little tangles so the owner decided to shave him down. But, she had a sweater for the little guy - 'cause Phil predicted 6 more weeks of winter - so he will need it! Thanks for checking it out! Pampered Pet Palace added 2 new photos. · January 30 · I had the privilege of doing these two dogs recently. These are both before pics... I forgot the after pics. I just got too busy! But, the black and white one is a Shih Tzu mix and the little tan cutie is a Yorkie mix. The first one is a new customer and she got a short cut for her dog. The second is a long-time customer who brought along the new customer. The second dog also gets a very short cut and both dogs were friendly and easy to do. Thanks to two great customers! Pampered Pet Palace · January 30 · This is a little poodle mix. She is very fluffy in this pic - but she gets a shave down. She is very calm and takes it all in stride! I enjoy doing this dog - very good customer with a sweet little dog. Thanks! Pampered Pet Palace added 3 new photos. · January 12 · Here are two pups from the same owner that I got the privilege to groom this morning. The first one is all Yorkie - she is a lovely little pup - just got a bath and trim. I didn't take any length off so that's why there's no before pic. The second one is the after and before pics of the little boy - he is part Yorkie part Poodle - and all cute! He got a short cut because his fur gets "dreadlock-like" (that's what the owner calls it) and grows very fast. They are both very good and I am happy to be able to groom them. Thanks for looking and have a great day! Pampered Pet Palace added 2 new photos. · December 13, 2016 · Now this is a mix - maybe shepherd, lab? But all sweet! Another nice dog to work on; definitely takes more effort to bath and dry, though! I took about an inch off this dog's coat and brushed a lot! There was still some undercoat there - oh, and a little spot by the hip that you might be able to see. That was a previous wound that healed - not from anything I did. (Just FYI.) I also trimmed the nails, thinned out around the neck and used Tropiclean... Whois
